The Blender Institute just put out a short (kind of a teaser to gain interest in doing a larger piece) called Agent 327: Operation Barbershop. It’s based on a Dutch comic. Of course, the short is done with Blender.

Man this was so good! I was mostly impressed with the fight choreography because that’s always the first thing to go in an animated action scene… this had a good flow to it. And I loved his discovery of the button. I didn’t however understand who was the bad guy and other bad guy and they weren’t working with one another?

My understanding is that Boris (white-faced bad guy) unwittingly tracked the agent to the other bad guy’s lair.

If you ever get a chance to speak with Hjalti (one of the co-directors and lead animator on this piece), I highly recommend it. He’s great fun and is fantastic for talking shop about animating.
